Default Status Codes = times?

Got a call on Monday from my salesman telling me my car is now "status 16" which he says is either on the production line or will be imminently and therefore can't be changed.
Does anyone have any idea (roughly) how long from this stage to arriving in UK.

Got the answer elsewhere.
Around about 4 weeks if anyone else was wondering.

The person I got the answer of 4 weeks from did say that was a rough estimate (he works for a Fiat dealer I believe) and has experience based on numerous cars.
Also that 4 weeks was for it to arrive in UK not the dealers so I would estimate about 6 weeks in total give or take.

Get in touch with your dealer and ask him what the cars status code is ?

The status codes are as follows.

10 : Heavy Variability, Confirmed Order. Fiat has your order but it can still be changed

13 : Light Variability, Confirmed Order. This is the point where only limited changes to your order can now happen.

16 : Fixed, Confirmed Order. your order is now fixed and can no longer be changed with regards factory spec.(otherwise known as your car is on the production line or about to be).

20 : Built, Fairly self explanatory.

30 : Shipment, At dock waiting to get on a boat.

35 : Transit, On the water bobbing along to the UK

40 : Arrived, At the docks in good old Blighty

45 : Ready, Car is waiting for collection by transport company.

50 : With Delivery Instruction, Delivery instruction has been sent to transport company.

55 : Goods Out, Car is on a transporter on its way to your dealer

60 : Arrival at Dealership, From Status 60 till you pick up your car is now dependent on what dealership options you have, how efficient your dealer is and when you want to pick it up.

When I was at work today I went by another Fiat dealer, not the one I bought my car from and the sales representativ there told me that the factory in Poland was closed all august and that they didn`t expect any deliveries of new cars before october!!!! Last week I asked the dealer where i ordered my car if he could check the status of my car, but he couldn`t do that he said. But he promised my car in September, so I don`t know what to belive now My only hope is that it`s already built and waiting for shipping to Norway.

Does anyone expect theire car delivered in September anywhere else in Europe?

Why couldn't he check your cars status?
Fiats computer system doesn't shut for holidays as orders etc can still be placed.
I am expecting mine sometime in September.
I asked the same question on another forum and I have been told by a couple of people that it is only the factories in Italy that shut completely not the one in Poland.
Production will slow through August but not stop (thats what I have been told).

I don`t know why he couldn`t check the status. Last week when I asked him I just accepted his answer that the car will come in september. Maybe there is another computer system over here? He could still not tell me when in sept it`s due for delivery. He said it could be the first or the last date in sept or anywhere between. I guess Norway is far down on Fiats priority list Because Fiat sells few cars here. I read somewhere that last year they only sold a couple of hundred cars in entire Norway. But that where before the 500 was launched.

When I was at the other dealer today they had a red MS Cup there, I took some pictures of it but I`m not sure if I like it with all the plastic details. Not made for Norwegian winther roads I think
Can`t be a pretty sight when a plastic bumper hits a ice bump in the road...... And Norwegian roads ain`t very good........

I am not sure if the computer system is different but they must all link in somehow (if they are different) as they can tell you all the stages (status codes) including the stages at the factory.
Your car may well arrive in September but I would go back and get him to check the status of your order.

A quick look in FAQ on here would have saved you the effort of finding out, they've been in there for about 9 months now!
