Default Quick Technical Question

I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.11 with the spell-checker installed.

Any ideas why it works on Post Reply but not when I use the Quick Reply box?

In short, no.

I'm using Safari on the Mac which has a built in spell checker and it works for both.

Shame it doesn't do punctuation and grammar though.

Firefox and Safari are different internet browsers - alternatives to Microsoft's Internet Explorer (IE). They both have a spellchecker which highlights spelling mistakes when you type.

So Scrogg is asking why it's not working using Firefox when entering "Quick Replies".

Incidentally same for me using Firefox although it's fine over on MINI2. Only difference I see is here you have to click on the Quick Reply icon before you post.

That might make a difference, because the box here (for quick reply) wont be 'active' immediately, until you click the QR (quick reply) icon.

It's fine for me on MINI2 as well, both at home and at work

Any ideas why that would make a difference?

Incidentally, if I type the message in the Quick Reply box, then click 'Go Advanced' to preview it before submitting, the spellchecker works perfectly.

I imagine it's the way the spell checkers on Firefox work, I imagine they check for active input areas as the page loads, whereas Safari must work on active input areas even if they're not active when the page loads.
