Default Darken things up maybe?

Don't know about anyone else, but do you find yourself struggling to follow threads, or even find members posts when looking at a full page of stuff?

I do all the time...

I'm probably not explaining this too well, but the colours - the light grey of the banner, contrasting with the white background of the input text - could be more noticable. It could be more defined, the difference between the two more pronounced, so that you could quickly just follow threads.

Sneaker heads talk about different 'colourways' of trainers, y'know, the same Nike Air in like twenty different colour combinations. Maybe if we could alter the colour combinations of the forum it would be easier to follow posts.

I'll get me coat.

I agree, having the banner at the top of each post slightly darker would make things easier.

I hear what you're saying, but I've never really had a problem. BUT, I do use a lot of forums using the more recent vBulletin format of user details above their post content, this means I'm used to skimming over the top block straight onto the content.

I'll try a few things to see if I can make the post area more clear, but I don't really want to darken the grey up if I can avoid it (not least due to the work in changing the avatar background colours ).

Some people maybe don't even know there's a grey, to those folks, you need to adjust your monitors, if everything is white, your brightness is too high, your contrast too low, or both.

Of course, if we all had Sigs the problem wouldn't exist. Any posts directly beneath one of mine or one of Tom's is easy to see

You should put the image background as transparent and save them as either GIF or PNG files... that's what mine is. Whatever colour you change it to mine will always look flawless

Kind of, apart from the little fuzzy bits around the edges. They are clear, but the matt is still the grey.

No fuzzy bits if you use the PNG file Alas I saved mine in GIF format to fit your tight file size restrictions

Then you have the issue of browsers that people use that still don't support transparent PNG files.

If only everyone used the same systems it would be so much easier.

But more boring.
