Default Congestion charge

Didnt realise that the 1.2 and 1.3 cars are going to be exempt from the congestion charge as of October this year!

We will have to pay £10 a year to register the car, but after that, free!!!

Might not be applicable as that corrupt car hating twat will probaby (hopefully) not get back in!

It's only hell driving in London because him and his cronies have made it that way on purpose.

Oh and BTW he gets driven all over the place because he doesn't drive, and I don't think Brown does either.

If Livingscum was serious about pollution and congestion he would have a policy in place to make all London cabs and busses electric within a specified timeframe, not make them exempt from the rules. He wouldn't want to do that though as it would upset his South American dictator mate who he buys all his fuel from!

It's a fact that if all London Cabs were replaced with Porsche Cayennes there would be less pollution than there is now.

It's got nothing to do with congestion or pollution, it's all about clobbering easy targets like motorists with an envy tax.

Rant over!

Why would someone who earns a shed load of money and gets driven around everywhere be envious of drivers of high CO2 polluting cars?

To be honest, I've only driven in London a few times, a long time ago, and it was hell then! Something I try to avoid at all costs, especially as the tube etc is so good to use.

50mpg, £35 tax and no congestion charge. Looks like the 500 motorist isnt getting stung that hard if u bought the 1.2 or 1.3.

Not personal envy. In 1999 Red Ken said that he hated all cars and given half a chance he'd ban them all! It's his mentality of reducing and taxing personal freedom (driving). This creates a culture of envy whereby people think it's OK to target "nice cars" etc . It will end up going back to the bad old days of anyone having a half decent car getting it vandalised, which frequently used to happen when he ruled London in the early 80's. That's where the envy comes in. The "You flash git - fcuk you I'll key you car" attitude.

In the 80's I drove into London twice a week on business and could not use the tube as I was delivering and picking things up. In the 90's I had to drive all over London again on business and It was generally a breeze as I knew where I wasa going and knew all the short cuts. These have all been closed off now. The policy is to make it as difficult as possible and then tax everyone.
