As you don't have a 3 1/2 star rating I gave them Richard Cort Italia a 4* (giving them the benefit)

+ points
  • Contacted me soon after Fiat customer relations contacted me about placing a 500 order
  • Only £200 deposit as opposed to £500
  • Processed order quickly and correctly and carried out special delivery instructions correctly
  • Let me have sneak preview and poke around the cars when they arrived
  • Handover included a small surprise
  • Friendly staff

- points
  • Some changes of staff under dubious circumstances
  • Some verbal promises not kept - related to point above - probably afraid to tell the truth
  • A little vague with information at the beginning e.g. trim/spec combinations
  • Got my delivery date wrong by over a week - initially promised it would be there on launch day, which was optimistic to say the least

Stoneacre, Rochdale. 2/5

From initial order to now it always feels like I'm putting them out everytime I ask a question about the car. I have had to do the chasing to find out whats happening with delivery and most of the time been non the wiser. Although they have been responsive to some emails, so I'll give them that.

The initial order is why the rating is so low, the salesman hadn't a clue and told me I could have loads of extras FREE even though (as I found out later) they weren't! If he'd told me to start with that Fiat had banned dealers from throwing stuff in free then I would have accepted it, its just that they lied to get a sale, even though I was going to buy anyway

I keep getting conflicting information, 2 weeks ago i was told my car was on its way to the dealership, today i was told its status 10

If any body from Fiat is reading this then SORT IT OUT, ITs the worst car buying experience i have had!! once i have got my car then I will NEVER be buying a car from them again or taking it back to be serviced there!!
strange thing with denkale. been dealing with their uxbridge showroom and my car has gone from status 10 --> 13 --> to not being on their system 4 weeks later ---> back to status 10 for a day --> to being on the boat somewhere when i last called them. im too afraid to call now and find the current status ... hmmm 2 stars

There seems to be some sort of trend developing here...!!

I have never rated Denekale as a dealer and even the previous Fiat dealer was the same as they are now......Total Rubbish!!!

Northgate - Canterbury 4/5 so far.

Salemans knowledge has been VERY good, no pressure to sell car, let me test drive both 1.4 sport and 1.3 Mjet on the same day.

Will post final score on receipt in Sept.

My 500 is coming from Desira of Diss in Norfolk. This will be my 5th car from these guys so I think this answers itself. Always helpful, always looked after and whenever I have had to use the service dept they also have always been very good. Tony Roe is the sales manager so if Norfolk and the surounding areas is your part go and give these guys a look. (gave them a four in the vote)

So far i would agree with this- but I'll have a full assessment as of tomorrow when I collect. After the initial period where i was unsure of what was going on, Richard Cort have rallied around and gotten me the same spec of car 3 weeks earlier than promised. I also only needed to put down a £100 deposit in the first instance to secure the car.

My dealer has been very good throughout the whole buying experience, especially with respect to the mjt issues. I have had the car for less than a week and my dealer has phoned me twice just to check how it's going.

I thinking that we should rate the dealers on similar things to the Auto express survey,
  • Value for money
  • Standard for Workmanship
  • Technical Knowledge
  • Helpfulness and attitude
  • Communication
  • Cleanliness and atmosphere
I might give people a better idea of the dealerships near to them. For instance i have now changed Dealerships from Denkale to Thames Motor group.

Thames Motor Group - Slough
  • Value for money - The dealer would not budge on the price of the car, they wanted to charge me extra to have items fitted which i had spec'd as factory fit. Finance APR rates are quite high.
  • Standard for Workmanship - can't say yet unitl I get the car
  • Technical Knowledge - sales people did not seem to know a great deal about the car, had to refer to the brochure alot, did not seem upto date on current options.
  • Helpfulness and attitude - In person they are quite helpful and they have a good friendly attiutude
  • Communication - they have not replied to any emails and have a hard time of returning my phone calls, i seem to be calling them all the time and not the other way round.
  • Cleanliness and atmosphere - The dealership is Big, its set out well, its spotless and well maintained, the atmosphere is very relaxing and they offer free drinks to you whilst you wait. cannot be faulted
  • Overall - 3 Stars

1st dealer: 5/5 Mill Lane- Aldershot. Very nice and professional, no issues what so ever. Only the looong waiting time for mine made me go to
dealer no 2: Wessex - Gloucester. 5/5. Very professional as well, no problems at all. Service and aftersales superb.

Overall very good experience. Would recommend both
