Owner or fan of the original Fiat 500?
Just wondering, with the 500 being a revival or reinvention in a similar vein to the Beetle and MINI if we could get a gauge of those interested in the new 500 who were or are fans or owners of the original version of the car?
If so, how do you rate the new 500 in terms of capturing the appeal of the original 500?

I was a bit curious about this as they mentioned it on Top gear last night about old cars being reinvented. because as we have seen the MINI has been an astounding success almost everywhere, Why did the VW beetle never have the same success??
The 500 I believe was designed by the same bloke who did the new MINI so will it have the same success? With regards to the Old 500 i am a big fan, just like i am of the old MINI! and i think that it is a very good modern representation of the old car! and brings it into the 21st century with alot of style!

An original Fiat 500 was the first car I drove. A rental car on holiday in Spain many years ago
 Well to be honest I just steered while sitting on my dad's lap

Being 19 I'm far to young to have owned an original 500 heheh but I used to pick it as my starter car when playing Gran Turismo 2 (the proper 'adventure' game bit!) It was burgandy and slow as fuck
