My 1.3 multijet lounge report after 5400 miles:

Average 57.8 mpg
Best 61.5
Worst 54.9

Not bad, but the fuel computer (trip B) is way optimistic at 64.5

I've done about 5200 miles and my figures are almost exactly the same as this, the trip computer is quite optimistic

After just over 1100 miles in a month i am getting about 53-55 in my 1.2 lounge.
Very impressed.
I find that urban driving seems to give me better mpg than motorway for some reason, i have an 18 mile drive in the morning over back country roads and A roads and always come back on the motorway and find i can nurse her up to 55 mpg on the way there and about 53.6 on the way back, doesnt seem to make any difference driving at 55 or 70 and everything inbetween.
Which suits me as i wanted a city car more than a long ranger.

Is that trip computer mileage? It's not uncommon for the trip to read several MPG over your actual (real) MPG. Calculating the MPG between fill-ups should give you a more accurate value. .. my trip reads about 5 - 6 MPG more than calculated.
