Fiat 500 by DIESEL

In case any of you folks are strictly forum lurkers, I wondered if you'd seen this, and what opinions where?

I think the colours could be interesting aka green, black and brown DIESEL, but that's about it.
Seems like anyone can make a special edition 500 these days, just get some different wheels sprinkle on some vinyl graphics, and add a soupcon of chrome detailing .... and hey presto ....

i like the diesel 500.... think they have done a good job all in all. are there any coming to the uk? slim.

No idea for the UK, the UK press site doesn't even mention it. Mind you, they do seem pretty poor/slow in general compared to the other European services.

If you're looking for it from the Fiat.co.uk website it's not there. Why is the Fiat web-site so rubbish at delivering news and information? Got to the link off the .com site.

Anyhow, there is a chance to order one of the first 500 on sale - before the dealers get them. Hmmmm .... now where have I heard that before ... if this "offer" is anything like the original 500 launch "scam" then I'm not sure I would bother.

PS The looks the the diesel are growing on me, The wheels, green paint, and some (not all) of the satin trim is really cool.
