Default Fabulous Locking Valve/Dust Caps!!

Hey everyone! Has anyone yet seen the new logo locking dust caps from Fiat?

Maybe I need to get out more but I think they are a great finishing touch - after you've spent your life savings on all the other accessories and you're running out of space on your ickle 500 to add anything more (sound familiar?)

I've just bid for a set on Ebay (search 'Fiat Dust Caps') and will upload a picture when they come if anyone is interested? If so, let me know and I'll post the name of the Ebay seller

Be careful because I've heard examples of locking dust caps being stolen (?!) and sometimes sticking in place over time, getting jamned. Just a word of caution really.

Paul I had both of the above happen to the ones on my civic. They were the allen key type and some scroat nicked 3 of them (forced them off) but couldn't get the last one off. I needed to use WD40 to get it off eventually.
My advice is dont bother. My experience is theres nothing thieft proof, if they want it badly enough they will just take it regardless of the damage they do to your car.

Thanks for the advice guys! Hopefully I will get outbid - if not I will put them on for a few photos (facebook etc.!!) and then keep them somewhere safe. Or maybe I will just re-list them!

Sad isn't it? Guess what all you thieving scrotes? We have nice cars and fancy stuff on them 'cos we work hard for them!! If you can't even afford some dust caps you really need to take a long hard look at your lives!!!

OK, rant over!!

Thanks again and (if anyone cares) I'll update the threadon whether I end up with them.

Back in 2002 some of the neighbours kids nicked the standard metal ones from my MINI Cooper. A tactful word in another neighbours ear, and a day later the kids came around with the dust caps having "found them" in the street and gave them back.

those standard bmw/mini ones are as far as I would go, had many sets stolen in the past, BMW dealers sell those very cheap!
