Thanks everyone, but I cant find them on tescos, have had a really good hunt for them.
Yes have seen many advertised on ebay, but I was more really wanting advice on where to get some that folks know definitely are decent quality - a lot of stuff on ebay is rubbish quality etc.
Any further ideas?! Thanks

Hi

I bought some chrome number plate surrounds for my last car, off eBAY. They were the plasticy chrome type. They looked OK for the 1st year or so, and then they started going blotchy and ended up looking naff.

I have both the Tesco ones and polished stainless steel ones .. they are unused and I have yet to fix them to the car. Can't decide (a) which ones of the two I prefer (b) whether I want to fix them at all as I will also be fitting chrome mirror caps.

The stainless ones are very nice, but heavier and will require a sturdy method to fix them to the car as I'm not sure self adhesive tapes will be strong enough.

You are welcome to have one or t'other, depending on which ones I decide to keep, for a modest cost (less than what I paid for them).

... ps Chinchillabug has them fitted to his car so you can ask how they are faring. Check this post ... Tesco chrome number plate surrounds

Thank you very much for all the info and the kind offer. Will ask Chinchillabug how the tescos ones are fairing up, the metal ones sound a bit awkward if they are heavy. Cheers, Louise.
