You can also just remove the ECU fuse, if you can find it, has the same effect.

Certain oil life and particulate filter operating parameters may be stored in EEPROM, so removing power may not make any difference. Just need to try it and see I guess.

Yeah, give it a bash. I really haven't worked on these cars before, but it works on most things. Tell you what, though, I'm looking forward to getting back home so I can get my grubby mits on one and start playing with it. I have a few ideas running through my head, but exactly what the potential is with one of these is still a bit of a mistrey to me. Ahh, the waiting game, been here before...
