Default Preventing radio from turning on when starting car

Greetings everyone! This is my first post on here.

I'm having an annoying problem with the radio. Every time I start the car my radio starts up, even if the radio was turned off when the engine was turned off. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it?

Thanks,

Jason

Hi and wellcome!

I had similar problem with my radio and couldn't turn it off for a period of time. Tried everything, and finally managed to turn the b***** thing off! Not sure how I done it though... I think I first turned it off in menu then (as that didn't work) I took the memory stick out and then turned the radio off and it worked! As I'm mostly not listening to the music anyway (very short journeys, not worth it switching on) I keep the stick near but not in.
I hope this helps somewhat

I used to have this as well, I just kept turning the radio off before switching off and general tinkering(didn't use a memory stick).
I think it's an electonic glitch rather than an option to turn off.

The same thing happened with me on my Grande Punto Sporting.

Problem is I didn't want it to happen, so now I find it just as annoying as sachmoz for the exact opposite reason!
