Default Insurance Costs

I hope this is the right area to post this question, But I am interested to see what people are paying or been quoted insurance wise.

I have been quoted the following for when I pick my car up in september:

1.3 MJ sport - area Kent , Fully comp - approx £160 is the cheapest i can get.

What you getting ?

£129 was the lowest quote I got (cant remember who it was though) for 1.3 MJ Sport also September delivery (hopefully).
It will depend on certain things such as your annual mileage, what extras you want such as no claims protection, courtesy car, legal cover, windscreen cover, breakdown cover etc, etc.
Oh and what excess you are prepared to pay aswell.
I did the usual on the comparison sites and when I added what I wanted/needed on my policy it soon shot up way above the £130.
My cheapest quote (with what I needed) was with my current insurers "More Than" and I will be sticking with them.
I have full "no claims bonus" aswell.

Ha ha, I won't go into my insurance quotes, (1.2 for a 17y/o, not main driver). One of them was £4.5k, but, obviously, turned that down... :P

Cool Insurance

We have two cars, the important one is the 500 1.4 sport, two drivers both early thirties, no claims, £300.00 a year. not bad when you think the car is worth over 11k. and technically is an Italian sports car!!

I think insurance is normally resonable when think about the cost of the car and what damage you could do with it.

You couldn't give me £300 and get 11k in return for something that was your own fault!!!

But of course they know the last thing you would want to do is crash your 500 ;-)
