Default Gutted, car park scratch

Check it out, took a photo.

At least I'm fairly sure I know who did it, not had a chance to speak to them yet though. Got a guy reparing it as I type!

I'm actually getting paranoid about car parks, not sure if people are just malicious or incompetent at parking....

That's nasty - did it dent the bodywork?

I am still paranoid in car parks - will walk a lot further just for a space away from other cars.

Oh and i don't park next to cars with kids car seats in them.

Anyone as bad as me?

Oh no did this happen at work?

I circle Tesco car park for about five minutes before selecting a parking space, I refuse to park next to:

People carriers
4x4s (a high up door from a 4x4 dinged my week old Ibiza Sport last year)
Cars with child seats in
Old bangers

I generally either park a mile away from the door or try to park next to a car which looks like the owner is proud of it.... sad I know.

I know none of the above guarantees not getting dings but I will do what I can to keep my 500 nice.

Hope you get it sorted, your poor baby

I am paranoid too, my 500 is my first new car in 30 years of driving and I want to look after it. I park in the biggest space I can find but whenever I come back to it some twit has parked really close, I'm sure that they do it on purpose!

That happened to me yesterday. Parked with loads of spaces around me. Came back, still loads of spaces except a huge lorry right by my car. Thought my car had been stolen, because the lorry hid it so well.

Thankfully no damage.

That is one nasty scratch. People do the same to me, you park in the middle of nowhere to come back to find your car surrounded.

I got a bit bad tempered with a person in a 4x4 as there was loads of spaces and he squeezed his car in between mine and another then nudged my car door with his, luckily no damage but I saw him getting into the space and couldnt believe it so sat and watched. After i ranted at him then I moved my car and checked for damage. I was litteraly at the opposite end of the car park in Tescos.

I wish I knew why people did this.

Well it looks like this should have a happy ending, it was repaired yesterday, I'll try and upload a photo in a bit. I certainly can't tell it was scratched so I'm well happy

Also, the guilty person owned up at work and has agreed to pay for the repair. Not often that happens

May be worth posting the name of the company that repaired it, in case others get problems.

Default You think you got it bad

The local council ride-on lawn mower spat a stone at my 500 - resulting in a deep dent in the passenger door! I have 2 quotes to repair at £700. Needless to say I am persuing the council with a claim. Fingers crossed.
