Crap.

I've had paint problems with cars before too, and they're just no fun to try and get rectified.

You going to drive it around like that to prove a point?! Perhaps in the "customer parking" at the dealership on the weekend.

You must be bloody gutted - if you can bear to part with your car, then I would go for a new one.

I am still waiting to hear from customer care about mine - time for a reminder I think!

Good luck!

I had a similar level of disatisfaction with an accident repair many years ago and I marked up my car in a similar way to show just how many faults there were

The way it was resolved was to get a troubleshooter / show painter from the paint supplier (Sikkens if I remember correctly) to actually respray the front of the car and the end result was perfect both in terms of paint application and colour match. Maybe FIAT can arrange for a similar professional to fix your car.

Many thanks

we,,, I appear to be getting somewhere, very slowly.

FIAT have agreed to send out an "independant" bodywork inspector to look at the paint.

They have said that if they deam it to be sub standard they will replace the car.

The car is booked in at the garage for inspection on Monday, the garage have even sorted a hire car as they have no courtasy cars available.

I'm going to make up some masking tape labels to stck on before I drop it off, so they can see the more serious flaws in the paint easier.

Well after 5 weeks of fighting with the dealer, the car is with them today to have an "independant" assesor look at the paint.

The service manager was fairly unimpressed when I shoed him the paint problems.

FIAT have said they will replace the car if the assesor deams it sub standard.
