Default Press reviews of the new Abarth 500.

Can we have this thread to post news articles from journalists who have actually driven the 500 Abarth?

Here's my contribution.
Remember they've only tried it out on a smooth test track as yet, not on the cr*ppy UK roads.

Here's a 500 Abarth review in Italian
Munari prova la 500 Abarth "Ho vissuto vecchie emozioni" - Motori - Repubblica.it

And one in English from the usually sensible Autocar

One from Auto Express:

Car magazine: Fiat 500 Abarth CAR review and video | Road Testing Reviews | Car Magazine Online

I'm concerned that the handling seems to be a weak point, surely the point of a "hot hatch" is the point and squirt nature of them, or at least, a good deal of the point of them.

Other than that, it sounds positive. I wonder if they'll offer some sort of handling pack?

Shows how subjective these things are. Pretty much every review I've seen has been a little negative on the handling side, but this is pretty much glowing on that front!

Default Its all double-dutch to me

I expect the 500 Abarth ride quality to be as poor as the Panda 100hp,
which is one of the reasons I won't be having one - except maybe a scale model,

but this man from autoweek.nl seems to be having fun being shaken around in a new 500 Abarth, and playing with his little old 500s too. I'm not sure he knows his 500 from his 600 and its all double-dutch to me.

There's a six page first drive feature in Autocar this week, it's looking good
