Angry Aerial stolen!

My wifes car had it's aerial stolen 2 nights ago (along with my Mercs star, ripped from the bonnet). Henley isn't what it used to be!!!! Do I remember someone mentioning a thief proof aerial, preferably one that plugs into the mains to give the bu**ers a shock!

Sorry to hear that. Did you report it to the police (not that they do much but you should) Mine is an anti-theft chrome one. Not totally antitheft as you can get it off with an alan key (a tiny one too). Certainly makes it more difficult to pinch, but means its not as east to get on and off for car washes, which I dont use so isnt a problem for me. x

I bought a £10 substitute from a local car spares shop, and the reception is useless. If anyone else has a suggestion to source an inexpensive and effective replacement, I would be grateful..

Yeah the thief proof ones are great.
The damage done to your roof when they take those is fantastic.

I'm still trying to hunt down one of these in the UK, alternatively the VW Passat CC type antenna looks like a good substitute. The antenna may be powered in which case a switched power feed may need to be taken to the antenna

Mine is a richhbrook anti theft aireal. You can get then online from all over the place but mine came from ebay. It locks into place with a tiny allen key. Not totally anti theft but not many people carry allen keys around with them. x

This is the link from when I bought it

Chrome aerial.
