Default Oh no....squeak of death....!

Really, really annoying squeak/sticking sound coming from the drivers door whilst moving. Sounds like a sticky piece of foam or padding behind the plastic door trim is catching or something.

Tried lying to myself it was happening at first but its no good, its doing my head in....!!!!!

Does it change depending on the weather? Sometimes these things can when things expand/contract due to the heat/moisture changes.

Think it was only doing it when it was colder...but still, I booked it in anyway. No sooner had I done then it stopped!! So nice to be driving around without squeaks again.

Car must have got scared of going to the Doctor's or something

I have the same thing but on the passenger door. If you press the b-pillar trim (the black metal piece on the door frame) and let go does is make a muffled click (sticking) sound? Also if you press the glass in the bottom right corner from the inside does the noise stop? That's what mine does and dealer has diagnosed a new window regulator under warranty - which seems a bit much because like you I thought it was the door trim material.

I booked my 500 for inspection in 2 weeks time (sigh) That noise really does my head in, a bit dissapointed I think because I have a high expectation of a new car.
I hope they can fixed it once and for all. apart from that 500.

I traced it to the trim by the window - I've since wedged a folded piece of velcro between the glass and trim and it cures it. Couldn't be bothered to go the dealer yet but I will do as I agree, new car should not have any squeaks or rattles. I'll upload a photo later so you can see how I fixed it. Hopefully something similar for you may work as a temporary fix

I didnt go to the service centre at the end, because on the day I was suppose to go, that 'noise' has gone. But today... it came back again.. *SIGH*..
Thanks for your tips, I look forward to seeing the photo.

Photo attached, just a simple velcro cable tie folded over and wedged in - not ideal but you can't notice it and won't affect window going up and down. Fixed my clicking/squeaking anyway but I'll still get it sorted at next service.
