Talking Bella got lots of attention today..

I work for a motorsport company and we had a group arrive for a factory tour tonight. They were early so milling around the car park... despite there being a few 'flashy' motors in the car park, guess what they were all gathered around? ! I was watching them like a hawk (I'm lucky enough to have a view of the car park so can keep an eye on Bella.

I was really proud so two fingers to the colleague who couldn't find anything nice to say about her.

When you weren't worrying about scratches or finger marks on the windows!

Quite possibly, he does drive a faded red Corsa so not sure he has any taste!

Most of the comments from work colleagues have been positive but I have had a few..

"looks like a police car"
"has it shrunk in the rain"
"When do you get your pointed hat with a bell on the end"

Plonkers

I have the Pasodoble red and my brother wanted to know when I was getting the ladder to go on top with the flashing blue light and siren. Sheer jealousy!!!

It's amazing how possesive and protective we feel towards these cars - I think the Yaris advert sums it up. If my husband uses it for work he gets instructions on where to park and who is allowed to look around it - they have to be careful people. Sad really!

Brilliant I agree though, I went to Tesco for the first time since collecting Bella, knowing this is the place where dings appear (my Ibiza had a Tesco ding after a week of owning it) I drove around for a few minutes selecting my spot to park I have never shopped so quickly as I just wanted to get out of there in case someone hurt Bella...

Mr Snowball hasn't been allowed out in her yet, one of his colleagues said "you'll have to bring your wife's car in one day so we can see it" uh, yeah right!

It´s amazing how some people don´t care about others property, like cars. I always search for the furthest parking place in market carparks and even then I tend to use two parkingsquares for maximum space around the car, just in case.

Good to hear that your 500 is getting plenty of attention and favourable comments.

You can tell the next poor envious soul who mentions it that 500s are used as police cars in some parts of Europe, (OK its more of a 'public relations' stunt than anything,
but designed to show the friendly face of policing.)

Here's one used by the police in Poland, complete with flashing lights and woo-wooos
