Default Stone chip touch up paint

i spoke to my dealer yesterday making my second request for touch up paint for the Pasodoble Red. iIwas told that Fiat haven't made any yet so it isn't available.

I explained that I thought the paint warranty was only valid if I kept control of paint chips etc.

Has anyone else come across this situation?

I also told them about the dirt under the paint - someone is ringing me back today

Should i also speak to Fiat direct?

I had the same with a Jive Blue touch up. Ordered in Feb, arrived last week!!!!!

As for the paint imperfections, FIAT are sorting mine at the same time as they replce the passenger seat cover.

What are they actually doing with the paint imperfections Mark? Did you speak to Fiat or your dealer?

You're not alone - I need touch up paint for Pasodoble Red, a damn stone flew out from under the lawn mower straight into a door....gutted. Will go down my local Fiat dealer and see what they say. Was thinking that may just polish out though rather than use paint.

I believe Halfords will mix up a touch up paint if you take them your paint code.

I spoke to my dealer, they got their FIAT approved bodyshop over to have a look, he said it looked like they may be able to polish them out as it appeared that the problem was in the laqure, if not they are going to repaint the bonnet.

I have the worst stone chip ever, down to the metal. I felt sick!!!

The garage said cover it up ASAP coz within a few days the area can turn brown and rust can set in (if down to the metal like mine). He said even nail varnish will do if you intend on getting it resprayed like I am going to. The garage covered mone with some red paint. Nowhere near a match but as my stine chip was so bad I am going to have get the wing resprated .

Miss Bently, Fiona that deals with Fiat Warranty is away on hol til next tuesday. So if you dont get a call back that might be why. x
