Thumbs down 3000 miles and .... a coolant leak

Heading out for the evening and was about to take the 500 when I spotted a trace of coolant on my driveway. A quick peek under the car and under the bonnet revealed the coolant level was low but I couldn't see where the loss of fluid was happening ... coolant pipes / gasket etc.

Now my car was one of those that went in for the diesel recall and gasket change and I feared something like this would happen. If this was a result of bad workmanship or faulty components again I'll be really annoyed ... I can do without my car being another week (or more) off the road for repairs. Obviously I'll make my feelings known to Fiat and let you know how I get on (they did ring me recently promising to call back to ask me about my new Fiat experience )

Update -

One of the engine coolant pipe clips was loose and needed tightening up - kindly done by the AA. Still yet to drive the car to verify the fix, but told it would probably be OK after the system was pressure tested.

I can only summise that during reassembly of the engine for the recall action that this was overlooked as it is really fiddly to get to .... the man from the AA had to move the engine ECU out of the way to get to the hose clip!

Hopefully if everything is OK then I won't be posting another update from a motorway hard shoulder

Just like Arnie (aka the Terminator) my coolant leak has come back again after 3000 more miles.

This time a coolant hose (the same one that needed the clip nipping up) has a hole / tear and needs to be replaced under warranty. Went in to the garage today and won't be back until tomorrow. While it's in there hopefully the annoying clicking sound from the passenger door glass / frame will get sorted.

I've got the 1.2 and mine had a coolant leak due to a faulty 'nipple' thingy on the hose, AA took it to dealer and its been fixed. no more probs as yet!!

Leak sorted (allegedly) with new hose. I'll report to let you know if this latest fix works.
In the meantime a new window regulator has been ordered to cure the ticking noise from the passenger door.
