Tomorrow (Thursday 5 June) at a big posh do for ARK there's an auction which includes
a Fiat 500 which has been 'decorated' (?) by Tracey Emin!

It will be well out of my price range - but has anyone got a picture of what this 500 looks like?

I thought this one (to be sold tonight) might be different to the last one and therefore more exclusive ?

Perhaps after the party-goers have had a few drinks they won't care too much

It seems this latest Tracey Emin 500 made £200,000!

Fiat 500 auctioned for £200,000

A Fiat 500 has been sold off for £200,000 at a charity auction.

The supermini was one of four specially designed and painted examples designed and painted by English artist Tracey Emin.

“We were very pleased with how the car was received,” said Charlotte Locks-Moro, the charity’s event executive.

“The £200,000 it raised is not only an amazing amount of money for a car, but it was also a significant sum towards the total we raised for charity.”

Absolute Return for Kids charity (ARK) raised £25 million for children at a gala reception in the Royal Naval College, Greenwich last week, with an auction which included the Fiat.

The work, entitled ‘Dark, Dark, Dark’, was among lots which included diamonds, a safari holiday, a speaking role in actress Uma Thurman’s next film, Eloise in Paris, use of a luxury yacht, fashion pieces and other works of art.

More than 1,200 guests attended the auction, including former Prime Minister Tony Blair, the actress Uma Thurman and model superstar Liz Hurley.

Well each to there own. If I found my 500 like this I would call the police and get it resprayed on the insurance, but if I knew it was worth a few quid I would flog it and buy a new unspoiled on !!
