Nothing much - new gearboxes (2000 miles), steering columns (3000 miles), power steering (50 miles) etc etc etc. Nothing significant - honest!

06 1.8 SE 5 door. It's ok- ultra reliable, quite nippy, very spacious but the space age type dash wears off after a while and I fancy a change. Can't really criticise it, it's a good car but ultimately not very exciting.

Not at all - Civic ultra reliable, my other car for the past 4 years (Audi A3) covered 90000 miles with no major issues, and my new A3 is spot on. I just had some bad experiences with Minis!

That record isn't all that exceptional in my experience of MINIs.

Hell, a friend of mine has just spent £10k on a 5 year old cooper s. 25K on clock and no warrantees. hope to god that he has better luck than your self. It is enough to reduce a grown man to tears.

And more to the point hope the new five hundred is up to the job.

My last fiat (seicento sporting), had to have a new front wheel bearing after 1000 miles, and a new steering column after 20,000 miles. I drive my cars for MPG - so no thrashing involved.

I was being totally sarcastic with the hard on cars comment. But I didn't realise that some MINIs were that fragile.

Think I'd had a beer too many to spot that
