"No Media Found" Blue & Me Message

I have a problem with Blue & Me, whenever I start the car on I get the message "no media found" when I select media player.

If I pop the memory stick out & back in the media then plays fine until I turn the engine off again.!

Anyone had anything similar please?

Not had that Mark, but my car decided to freeze all the blue and me functions on the steering wheel. Nothing working until I tried what i read about on the forum - disconnecting the battery for a couple of seconds. Didn't lose any settings and everything's been fine since.

It would appear that it's a well known B&M problem I have.

No cure yet.

The only time mine said that was when I used a USB it didnt like. I changed the USB and it is fine now, but mine never played at all with the USb when it said 'no media found'. Not like yours when it plays sometimes.

I keep having arguements with the blue and me lady when I am trying to make a call. She is a bit stubbon at times and it might need seeing to if she doesn't start behaving. Sometimes I press the windows button to try and make a call and she says' no new messages' or something like that. She doesn't even give me the chance to say I want to make a call. I have to pull over and dial the number then I can talk normally. Also she sayd call so and so. I say yes, several times then she just beeps and the radio comes back on. x

I think my 'Blue & Me' lady is a bit deaf and/or dyslexic. She doesn't seem to understand the word 'Yes' after she's asked 'call so n so now?'. I have discovered tho' that if you say "Yesss" instead of "Yes", she's a bit more co-operative. However she still gets 4 and 0 confused when I ask her to dial a number. When I say 'zero' she knows it's a 0, but when I say "4" she still thinks it's a zero.. I've only ever managed to get her to dial/call, at the first attempt, once so far.

same here!! sometimes she does as she's told but usually I have to retry a few times before she understands what I am saying is this a common problem? its a pity as when it works its great!!

i must try saying yesss instead. Other drivers must have wondered who the hell I was ranting at.lol! Has anyone else had the problem when they press the windows button it says 'no message'. Insead of giving me the chance to say call so and so. She just goes 'no message' then cuts off. This is usually if I have just finnished one call and dialed another. Also when people call me it just displays the number and doesnt say who it is. x

yes same hear. You have to remember that it is relatively new technology - give it five years or so and they will have perfected it.

I might try and use a different memory stick - B&M is all too frequently 'losing' my playlists...they're still there of course, but she can't find them.

I've also had the 'no media' message, when she won't find folders, artists etc, but strangely, she'll still 'Play anything'.

It's become somewhat of a PITA - I've considered going back to CD!
