Default Alarm System

I am interested in getting an alarm fitted to my car. Does anyone know how much they would be including fitting, as on there own they are £140. Also what type of an alarm they are? My local Fiat garage said they would have to get a specialist firm in to do it but I never asked a price, was just a passing conversation.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer. x

Hiya,

I had one fitte on mine - don't know how much it was though I'm afraid as I had a load of stuff fitted at once. It was the first one the garage fitted and they had to wait for a copy of the instructions to be sent in english! To be honest, if I'd seen one fitted before I had it done, I wouldn't have bothered - I don't think it's gained me any extra discount on insurance and it looks a bit out of place - the LED is just stuck to the side of the dashboard where it comes out over the instrument display and the wiring snakes down into the dash casing. Horrid. Only thinkg I regret about my car.

I don't think they have got that right. If I was you I would take the car back and tell them that the installation is unacceptible (exposed wires down the dash are not acceptible).
I took me last new car back because of lazy wiring on an dealer fitted extra (shelf speakers). It did get sorted to my satisfaction.
It may be that the LED needs to be relocated. (is it necessary that it is visible at all) as the alarm is activated with the key fob??
