Leather = Delay

To cut a long story short. I have been told from order to last week one of my two ordered cars was to be coming for launch on the 21st Jan. Its a 1.4 sport.

Ive had lots of other problems with a 1.2 lounge i have ordered also. Well Fiat finally got involved and have given some rather bad news this morning.

Both cars have a build date of 26th Jan, so i would expect them to come in March. However as ive been promised the sport all a long, i asked why this has suddenly changed in a week.

According to Fiat they have had great difficutly in sourcing the leathers for there cars in particular the red leather. They said anyone who has added this option, there car will not be going to build prior to the 26th Jan and that there will be delays on peoples Sports that they have ordered with the standard black or brown leather.

So be warned and if your dealer says there coming the end of the month or Feb i will be surprised.

I would also like to mention the dealer is Benfield in Newcastle, for whom i have had extremely bad service from!

I've been to Fiat in the Silverink, and they've been great, sorry to hear about Benfield, had an Alfa 156 selespeed from there, and thought the same! Mind you I've not had a fixed date given to me, only it will arrive sometime in April! 1.4 sport in Punk Grey-

Who are you dealing with at Benfield?
