Default Standard steering wheel?

If I end up going for the 500 I'm probably going to add Blue&Me, which requires the optional steering wheel.

But does anyone have a link to a pic of the standard wheel?

TIA,

Si.

It looks alright to me, but it's always nice to hold a leather steering wheel. I think it's important that the things you have contact with are of good quality - you knows what the plastic steering wheel is like on the Pop? I would still be getting a Pop if you didn't have to have Blue&Me to get the leather steering wheel. It turned out more cost efficient to go for the Lounge instead as that had the alloys, glass roof, chrome along with the leather bits and Blue&Me.

It's true about the VFM of the Lounge over a specced up Pop.

Although, I didn't like the Lounge seat material, so I had to go for the Pop.

Steering wheel is very important to me. We used to have a MINI One with a plastic wheel and a Cooper (then S) with leather, the wheel made the One feel so much cheaper from the drivers seat.

I have to admit, the leather wheel does feel very nice.

(goes off to look for white leather driving gloves again......)

Another vote for leather here.

Had to drive a Punto Active courtesy car home tonight and realised just how cheap a plastic steering wheel looks and feels

Ewww it's nasty isn't it It's kinda squishy with a really bizarre, rough faux leather grain inprint. It is most bizarre. Horrid, horrid, horrid!

The Pop wheel may be OK, it's just not a risk I would have wanted to take

Oh no, it's nasty.

My Golf has a leather wheel and other than being cold at times it does feel lovely.

I'm still debating specs and haven't even driven one yet!

Just watched a download of last night's best of TG and James May certainly didn't seem keen on the diesel.

It's going to be the 1.2 or the 1.3MJ for me I think. I want a mix of fuel economy and driving enjoyment.

Si.

Ashe said, Italian cars should have a fizzy smal capacity petrol engine that you rev until the valves start bouncing about on the bonnet, then you change gear.

Problem is I need a car that isn't just a 'city car'.

Si.

Oh, I've moved up a gear ;-)
