New and interesting positions in a 500 ...

I've tried a few in my 500 ...

... for my sat nav of course ... what else were you thinking .... ????

I've tried it hanging from the glass roof, various places on the windscreen, but my current favourite position is to put the suction pad / swivel mount on the surface of the plastic coloured part of the dash just to the left of the radio, with the sat nav angled towards me.

Anyone else got ideas / pictures / recommendations of sat nav locations or different types of sat nav mount e.g. vent clips, A-pillar clips?

I've stuck mine (satnav offcourse, what else??!!) on various places, tried the dash and the screen and although it smears, I still think the screen is the tops. I wouldn't mind having an integrated one, but from what I've seen don't like any of them. Its a necessity and I'll just keep it out as long as it is needed, otherwise down it goes into the 'secret' compartment...

It is such a shame that Fiat didn't put a door on the compartment under the dash, rather than the stupid little 'document' compartment that is good for nothing.

I tend not to use the 'secret' compartment under the passenger chair as, I feel, the fabric on the seat would 'wear' over time, eg the fabric would become grubby and worn.

With regards to 'where to put it' .... (sat nav, but of course!)... I would personally have design the dash so that there was an integral compartment that could 'pop' up/open, to either reveal satnav or a deep compartment to stow items eg phone, sunglasses etc
