Default Leather seat wear

I have noticed some wrinkling and lifting of the leather as if the seat has not been laid properly over the base.

Has anyone else noticed such signs of wear?

That doesn't look right. Is it just the one seat or both/all?

Thanks for your responses. The passenger seat only gets used occasionaly and shows no signs of wear.

Believe it or not these pictures were taken sub 200 miles.

£600, cheap by leather standards but I expect it to last more than 200 miles.. I wanted to see what others experience was but no one seems to have had the same type of wear. Looks like a trip back to the dealer then, I'll let you know how I get on.

Having seen and sat in several 500's with leather seats I would have to say that the leather quality seems very good.
I would say looking at the pics that it appears that the leather has not been installed to the actual seat very well and was probably not taught enough to begin with thus sagging.
Would advise a trip to your dealership.

Thanks Brian, appreciate your views. Pretty much as I see it, I have fired off an email including the pics to my dealer, will let you know what response I receive.

Sorry guys but i think the leather in 500 is poop

One reason I went for the sport with it's funny silver cloth stuff.

The tan leather looks like an old school bag I had in the 70's.

The pics look like the poop leather on early MINI's. If you got that wet and sat on it the top surface would come away from the rest!

Hope the dealer gets it sorted for you.
