Rubber mats

Anyone installed the rubber mats?

How did you fix the one for the driver's position?

The little instruction guide which i got said that a hole should be made in my floor carpet. And I should put the little plastic screw (with windings) into that hole. But I'm not sure how will that little plastic screw stay fixed in the carpet.

And the purpose of that plastic screw is to keep the rubber mat in the fixed position. The mat has a little hole in it and it should be sticked to the upper part of that screw.

Generally, rubber mats are heavy enough to stay in place without the fixing screw.

My advice would be to try them for a few days without it, as you probably won't need it.

You screw the little screw into the carpet, place the mat over it and then slide the plastic cover on top of it.
They don't move once this is done but I did find the drivers side one did move before I screwed it down.

Hi all !

I never bothered with 'Fiat' mats. Opted for a £15 set (rubber and carpet) from local motor accessories shop. Set had rubber design that you 'cut to fit' and they are brilliant. Carpet does not move and mats fit the entire footwell.
