Hi there,

I'm new to this forum, very proud owner of a white 1.2 lounge with Italian go-fast stripes and red leather. I wish I had read this post earlier as I have spent the last 3 months trying to figure out how to open the passenger seat storage compartment; no-one told me you don't get one with the leather option!

Just be glad you never took a crowbar to it.

Unless of course you did?!

I'm laughing at myself now, I really wish I had seen this forum before yesterday!! Since I got my 500 in June, I have broken 3 fingernails, shouted at my husband, banged my head and lost my temper on more than one occasion trying to open the compartment which, had I read this thread, I would know my car does not even have!!!

Hi, my first post on here........ hello everyone! Where is the document compartment above the glove shelf thingy? I've only just learnt from you guys that there is a storage compartment under the passenger seat!

Yeah there is an A4 ish sized compartment above the glove box space on the dash. You open it with a squeezing/pinch method. You will feel the catch just pull it towards you and the compartment will open. It is very small but handy. There is also a small compartment on the drivers side, when you are sitting in the car it is left next to your knee. I didnt find this one for a few days, handy for usb's etc. I hope this makes sense to you as its difficult to explain these things without knowing all the correct car parts names.lol! x

My only concern is thieves will get to know it is there!
threads like this don't help!

Discovered yesterday after driving my 500 for two weeks that I got the box under the passenger seat......I didn`t think I had this box since it was listed as an option. The 500 continues to surprise me..... still very happy with my new car....
