About a month ago I took my 500 back to the garage because the lights on the speedo etc weren't always coming on when I turned my lights on on gloomy days. They said there was nothing wrong with the connections or anything.

I was watching the speedo today, I had my lights on and the speedo lights weren't on. Then I went through a slightly wooded and dark bit, they came on, then went off when i got into a lighter area. It's a completely pointless thing I suppose, but it is quite funky that they are light sensitive. I find it odd that the dealer didn't know this was the case.

Has it? I'm just obviously not very observant lol. I would have though that the dealer would have known about it then?

I wouldn't really rely on any dealer to know too much about the car they're selling, in general, with some very good exceptions, they're only interested in the basics, enough to sell the car.
