I'd love to go but so busy (and broke) due to a house move.

Default "Today's the day the teddy-bears have their pic-nic"

I hope everyone takes a camera to this picnic
There's just a teensy weensy chance that Fiat/Abarth might
take a 500 Abarth for people to look at. They'll be at Goodwood next weekend of course.

<There's also supposed to have been examples of Punto Abarth,500s for Ferrari dealers, and a couple of (Fiat built) Ford Kas though the Portbury docks in recent days.>

If anyone lives near Portbury/Bristol keep your eyes peeled.I'm offering a cash reward for a sneak preview of the (Fiat built) Ford Ka in the next week or two if anyone has access to a new ka!

Hope it keeps fine for the picnic.

Just back !!!!!

An excellent day.

Congratulations to Fiat for organizing a very pleasant promotion.

Lots to do for the kids and a very generous bar for those not driving.

Nice sound system and a VJ showing old footage of 500s mixed with contemporary stuff.
Again, really well done. Excellent cover band ( The Crane Brothers ) doing a brave (not the most responsive audience in the World) and professional set. Well done to them, they seemed to enjoy it and I look forward to their greatest hits album

No Abarths that I saw, about 10 new Fiat 500 on display in a variety of styles and colours and loads of them in the car park of course, including a lovely turnout of originals.

They seemed quite strict on the security so if anyone passed on their SMS ticket I hope the recipients weren't disappointed. Those that won and didn't turn up missed a really good day.

The keepie Picnic basket is cute - modernist tupperware-type with a 500 stamped handle, and we all got a 500 branded picnic mat to sit on. It is perfect to keep in the car.

They even gave out branded 500 rain macs in case the threatened showers started (they didn't -weather was perfect - a few burnt heads on the balder members of the public though)

Soooo glad I entered the competition for the tickets !

Sadly I had to leave earlier than I would have liked for other commitments but I 'm sure those that stayed will report on how it went towards the end.

I 'd just like to publicly thank the organisers for a job well done. VERY impressed!

The only downside is that I haven't got the phone call saying I've won the yellow 500 in the balloon thingie yet! Come on Fiat

Thumbs up

Sounds fantastic.

Approx how many new style 500s were at the London picnic?
Did you see any unusual 500s? eg
blue "Cappellini" limited edition 500 or a white "Opening edition"500 (There is supposed to be one of each in the London area) ?
Any sign of a new Abarth 500 (on the screen or in real life)?
Did anyone take any pictures?

Her troup won everything they entered, making them interantional cheer champions 2008, they are all made up. Not really, especially considering that she has only been compeating for 6months

Tell her well done from me - she must have worked really hard.

I would have loved to go to the picnic, but we had a Formula 1 bbq - wel done Lewis!!!

Bugger.

I stay away from the news so I can watvh the race this evening as I missed it yesterday and this happens. Oh well, at least the result was a good one. Hope the Red Scum fared less well.

I'm sorry!!!

I haven't seen it all yet - it was hard being sociable with non F1 guests, when all I wanted to do was watch the race.

Have to be honest, there seems to be very little news coverage about Hamilton's win - all they are talking about is the tennis.
