Default The British Motor Show is now on in London!

Although the outside areas weren't all set up,
I was in the exhibition halls yesterday evening
(I didn't even risk taking a camera in)
and early this
morning Tuesday (thanks to an exhibitor)
even before the Press got in!

No Fiat or Abarth stand seen, in fact nothing much Fiat related,
but the Alfa Romeo MiTo is certainly distintive,
and Ford have a good display.

Is anyone else going?
Has anyone else been?
What did you think/what did you see?

We're off this sunday i think.

No Fiat at all which is disappointing. I read somewhere that it might be so they didnt deflect interest from the launch of the Mito!

Real shame Fiat or Abarth wont be there though.

Might try Geneva next year.

Ahhh yes the Fiat e500.
Green with beige interior
The number plate said NICE on it
but there was no price on it - now I know why!

A few other wierd electric vehicles on display too!
None as good as the Ford Fiesta eco-friendly model at the end of the exhibition Hall.

The White Toyota iQ caught my eye. Pre-production model so not finished on the inside
but the exterior is as it will appear when produced apparently.

Red MiTo is certainly different but no better than the Brera nearby IMO.

98g/km CO2 emissions for the Fiesta which is excellent.
Having seen the new Fiesta in the flesh I can honestly say it's a stonking car ... very impressive!

TINO:
Here's my pic of the ECOnetic fiesta in a nearly empty hall.Tino:

No sign of any Ford Kas at the show (which is what I expected) but some stunning Fiestas

The Purple (Hot Magenta) fiesta titanium in the corner with Purple (Soho) interior was my favourite Fes (see picture below.
but I'd want a 3 door rather than a 5 door if anyone is offering to buy me one

I still reckon the (Fiat built/Fiat 500 derived) Ford Ka
will be more suitable for me. Unfortunately it may be overshadowed by the Toyota iQ which gets launched at about the same time.

No news whatsoever about a possible Mazda1 which could be built based on the Fiat 500 chassis,
if the Mazda people knew anything about it, they weren't saying.

Might be going myself on Sunday, just depends how my sleep patterns go today and tomorrow - I've just finished nights. Also depends on being able to get a parking space there as i'll be driving all the way there. Why on earth they couldn't do it at the NEC again (like 2004) is beyond me.

Known for a bit that FIAT wasn't there as they haven't been listed on the Motor Show web site.
